Fishermen on the Amazon of Peru
The real Amazon feeds as well as it transports those who live from it, providing the wood for the boats we see built, as well as the life for the fish that sustains them. Flynn Donovan’s (director and cameraman) account of the ritual of fishing the great river was lauded in film festivals around the world as an account of a timeless ritual. Getting food from the nets thrown from simple, hand-hewn boats and the men who live on and off the river.
