Flying Downhill

A skier, Bode Miller, finds his own unique path down the mountains where fastest is king.

For Bode it has always been a path of his own, one coaches have not edged, and one where fast often leads to crashes, but in that edge is where Bode finds his way forward. And he feels, more than knows, that he can be fastest. He goes to the places where ski racing defines the best, competing against the world’s best, from the slopes of the Alps and Austria’s and Norway’s greatest racers, and he competes having come from the humble low peaks of New Hampshire where hardscrabble gets its name, narrow twists and rocks normal and snow that typically turns to ice and makes for a rugged character.
